“McCormick County is bounded as follows: beginning at a point on the South Carolina-Georgia line in the Savannah River, opposite the mouth of Coffer Creek; thence a straight line N. 45⁰ E. 26728 feet to the fork of roads at Riley's; thence the public road in an easterly direction to Island Bridge over Little River; thence continuing 6978 feet to the fork of road; thence turning to the east, following the right-hand road to the south of Little River, known as White's Creek; thence a straight line S. 85⁰ 30' E. 23800 feet to a point in the road near Clatworthy's Cross Roads; thence a straight line N. 78⁰ 15' E. 15700 feet to a point on the Greenwood-Abbeville County line near Jordan's Mill;…”
